Bishkek Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek is Kyrgyzstan’s capital and largest city, with a population of around 1.1 million people as of 2019. It also serves as the administrative center for Chuy Province, even though it is not actually part of the province itself but rather exists independently as a province-level unit.

Bishkek situated at an altitude of roughly 800 meters, or 2,600 feet in the Chuy River valley near the Kyrgyz range of mountains. The city is only about 20 kilometers, or 12 miles from east of the Kyrgyzstan-Kazakhstan border.
